How the times are worked out

Both opinions, side by side

Where the GRA and the Magen Avraham differ, ZmanimBar shows both rather than quietly picking one. Sof zman kriat shema, sof zman tefila and the temporal hours each appear twice, labelled, so you read the machloket instead of inheriting a default you never chose.

Nightfall by angle, not by minutes

Tzeis is stated by explicit solar depression — 4.61°, 6.45°, 8.5°, 9.28° and 16.1°, including Rabbeinu Tam and the Chazon Ish. An angle is the same opinion everywhere on earth; a fixed offset in minutes drifts as soon as you leave the latitude it was written for.

Sunrise and sunset, twice

Both at sea level (mishor) and as seen from your own elevation (nireh). The elevation correction is always applied rather than hidden behind a setting, so there is nothing to configure wrongly.

Times that only matter on their day

Candle lighting and the Erev Shabbat meal deadline appear on erev Shabbat, the chametz times on erev Pesach, musaf on Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh and chol hamoed, the end of the fast on the minor fasts. The rest of the year the list stays short.

Your own minyanim, and a reminder that knows you davened

Pro adds a personal time — once or on a weekly cycle — sorted in among the halachic ones. Its reminder carries "I Prayed", which cancels the rest of that day's reminders for that zman, and "Remind Again" to snooze. Reminders fall silent from candle lighting until nightfall and resume on their own.

Astronomy on the device, and no servers

Every time is computed locally from your coordinates — never a lookup table, never fetched. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking, because there is no server to send anything to. Personal times sync through your own private iCloud, which we cannot read.
