A search bar above the book buttons searches Otzaria's whole library, about 7,900 books, on your own computer. It is optional and stays off until you turn it on, and nothing you search leaves the machine.
Every form of a word
Searching for מלך also finds המלך, ומלכי and the other forms, through a Hebrew morphological lexicon. A checkbox turns it off to search the word exactly.
A reference opens the place
Typing רשב״א כתובות יג, שולחן ערוך אורח חיים רנג or בית יעקב כתובות יח opens that daf or siman directly. Acronyms work, and so do commentary titles typed without their על.
A reader with the table of contents
A result opens the whole chapter or siman. Every siman, daf or perek of the book is listed beside the text and follows your scrolling, and the book and the place stay at the top. Your recent searches are a click away.
On a Mac with Otzaria installed, search uses the books already there and only builds an index: about three minutes, 1.9 GB. Without Otzaria, the library downloads from Otzaria's own release: 1.9 GB to download, 3.8 GB on disk. The library is SeforimLibrary by the Otzaria project, and its licensing varies from book to book.

What it does
The printed page, as live text
Each of the 5,513 dapim is laid out in the Vilna page form, every line in its place and in the original fonts, as text rather than an image. You can select and copy it, find a word on the page, print it, and zoom without the letters blurring. Rashi and Tosafot are marked by their dibbur hamatchil.
Four libraries, one window
Tanach, Mishna, Talmud Bavli and Rambam, each opened from a single home screen, with the commentaries beside the text.
The library is inside the app
There is no "download the library" step and no account. Reading never touches the network, so it works the same on a plane as at a desk. Library search is the one addition that downloads anything, and only when you ask for it.
Tabs that keep their place
Several texts stay open at once and switching between them is instant: nothing reloads and nothing loses the page you were on. Each tab names itself after the text it holds.
Hebrew throughout
The interface and all four readers are Hebrew and right-to-left. It is built for a Hebrew reader rather than translated into Hebrew.
Updates that ask first
On the Mac the app checks for a new version on launch and once a day, verifies it with a cryptographic signature, and installs nothing without your confirmation. The Windows build has no updater yet — a new version means downloading the installer again.

Mac and Windows
macOS
macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon only. The build will not launch on an Intel Mac. Signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no Gatekeeper warning. 244 MB.
Windows
64-bit Windows. The installer is not code-signed, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning on first run: choose More info, then Run anyway. 253 MB.
The four libraries travel inside the app, which is why it needs no network afterwards. Library search, if you turn it on, downloads separately.
